Men just love receiving these! Makes for great conference room/dining table conversation. A gift with history behind it. The shard was part of the export cargo of a Portuguese merchant ship that sank in the South China Sea circa 1625. It lay in the sea for nearly 400 years before it was brought up with the intact artifacts. Crafted in 925 Sterling Silver, each shard is cut to bring out the best of the motif – reverse peony (pix); dragon scales; lingzhi.

LATE MING BLUE-AND-WHITE DEER PLATE MEDALLION

Resembling a water colour “wash” of Blue and White, these Deer Plate “medallions” are so called because they are “cut” from a whole plate. Lying for nearly 400 years in the South China Sea has not wiped off its superb glaze. Recovered from the 17th century Wanli Shipwreck, the Portuguese shipwreck found in 40 metres of water off Pulau Tenggol. Available with a serialized certificate and packaged in a Tradewind Treasures velvet pouch.
